QUICK AND EASY FILET 
1 steak filet
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper

SAUCE:

4 tbsp. butter
1 lb. mushrooms
1 c. dry white wine
1 tbsp. parsley
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. fresh ground pepper

Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Place filet in roaster. Tuck tail under. Bake 5 minutes per pound uncovered. Turn oven off. Leave in oven 30 to 45 minutes more. DO NOT OPEN OVEN. (Leave in oven 30 minutes for rare meat).

Sauce: Melt butter; saute mushrooms. Add wine and reduce by half. Serve with meat.
