RICH BUTTERMILK BISCUIT 
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. lard
3/4 c. buttermilk

Sift dry ingredients together, cut in the lard, add milk and mix. Knead lightly, using as little flour as possible. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured cutter. Place on baking sheet and bake at 430 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Makes 12 to 15 biscuits.
