KRAUT BIROUE | |
1 lb. hamburger 1 head cabbage, chopped fine 2 med. onions, chopped fine Salt and pepper to taste 2 tbsp. butter 1 recipe of white yeast bread Brown and then drain the hamburger. Saute separately, the cabbage and onions, each in a tablespoon of butter. Drain off any excess liquid. Combine the 3 ingredients. Stir and cook together a few minutes. Cut the dough into 4 inch squares. Spoon the meat, cabbage and onion mixture onto the squares. Bring opposite corners to the center. Pinch the dough together making sure it is sealed. Place in a lightly greased baking pan, pinched side down. Let them rise. Bake in a 350 degree oven until browned. These freeze nicely. |
