GLAZED APPLE BREAD 
Lightly grease one 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1/2 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. finely chopped raw apple
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
1/4 c. chopped nuts
2 c. flour

Cream shortening, sugar, salt and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Beat well. Add milk, apples, and nuts. Beat. Stir in flour and baking powder. Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake 50-60 minutes.
