PEAR AND CREAM CHEESE MOLD 
1 (16 oz.) Barlett pear halves
1 env. unflavored gelatin
1 c. orange juice, divided
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Lettuce leaves

Drain pears; reserving 3/4 cup syrup. Soften gelatin in 1/4 cup orange juice. Bring pear syrup to boil adding gelatin mixture and stirring to dissolve. Add remaining orange juice and peel. Chill until it becomes the consistency of unbeaten egg whites. Place pears in a 4 cup mold; pour half of gelatin mixture over pears. Chill until firm. Combine cream cheese and remaining gelatin mixture in blender until smooth. Stir in walnuts. Pour over pear mixture in mold; chill until firm. Unmold onto lettuce - lined platter. Serves 6 to 8 people.
