GARLIC SALAD 
Make dressing with:

1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. Crisco salad oil
3/4 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
Dash paprika
8 cloves garlic, minced

Cut salad in bite-size chunks:

1 head cabbage
2 ribs celery
2 carrots
2 sm. tomatoes
1 cucumber (sliced with skin)

Marinate in dressing 8 to 10 hours before serving, stirring occasionally.
