ICE CREAM BY SYLVIA | |
1 c. white sugar 1 c. light brown sugar 6 eggs 1 can Eagle Brand Milk 1 can (tall) Carnation milk 1 pt. whipping cream Vanilla to taste (I use a lot) Beat eggs thoroughly. Add sugars and beat again. Then add remaining ingredients and beat vigorously with mixer about 1 minute, or until it is well mixed. Pour into gallon freezer can and finish filling can with milk. Freeze with ice and salt in usual manner or as your freezer directs. This is the best basic ice cream recipe I have ever used. It does not have a brown sugar taste and can be used as a base for any fruit you desire. It is not as good with strawberries as some recipes BUT I like it with all others and it is great as "just plain vanilla" -- like me! |
