1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix shortening and sugar thoroughly, add peanut butter, mix well, add vanilla and eggs, beat well. Sift flour, soda and salt together. Stir into mix. Shape dough into roll, wrap in plastic wrap, chill, slice and bake at 400 degrees about 10 minutes.

This dough freezes well, may be sliced and baked frozen, but make take a little longer in baking.
