DATE - NUT ICE BOX COOKIES | |
1 lb. dates, cut fine 3/4 c. water 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. chopped pecans DOUGH: 1 c. white sugar 1 c. brown sugar 2 sticks soft butter 3 beaten eggs 4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla Cook filling about 10 minutes. Let cool. Mix sugars and butter together. Add eggs. Mix well. Add dry ingredients. Spread filling on 4 parts of dough and roll up. Chill. Wrap in waxed paper. Freeze. |
