CORNMEAL GEMS 
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. cornmeal
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs

Scald milk, add butter and salt. Stir in cornmeal and let thicken. Cool and add eggs and sugar; flour and baking powder sifted together. Turn into hot muffin tins and bake 15 minutes.
