1 c. brown sugar 6 tbsp. instant tea powder 6 whole allspice 6 whole cloves 2 cinnamon sticks, broken 1/2 tsp. ground mace (optional) 2 qt. apple cider 2 c. water 1/2 c. lemon juice 2 c. Burgundy wine In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except wine. Bring to boil, then simmer 10 minutes. Remove whole spices. Add wine and heat through. Serve in mugs and garnish, if desired, with apple slices. Makes about 20 servings. |
