AUTHENTIC POLISH KAPUSTA
This is an absolute favorite in our family and it is simple to make and it makes the kitchen smell so good when the caraway seeds mix with the butter during sautéing!!

2 to 3 slices bacon (for flavor only)
1/2 to 1 stick butter
1 head of cabbage
1 small onion
2 tsp. caraway seeds
salt and pepper, to taste
1 (12 oz.) bag Kluski egg noodles (Manischewitz is the best)
1/2 cup dairy sour cream

Get a deep skillet and add your bacon, butter, cabbage, onions and caraway seeds and sauté till tender but not mushy. When the bacon seems to be cooked and the vegetables are too but not (mushy) take the bacon out. Add salt and pepper. and simmer on low.

Meanwhile, boil the noodles according to package directions. Strain the noodles and then add them to the mixture of the sautéed vegetables. Stir in dairy sour cream into the mixture and enjoy!!

This dish goes so well with kielbasa, or any other Polish / Russian main courses!!
