2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. milk
2 c. flour
5 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. boiling water

Stir soda into vinegar. Combine all ingredients except water; mix well. Add boiling water. Put into greased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes.
