CHEESECAKE FAVORITE 
1 1/4 c. vanilla wafers, crushed
1/4 c. butter
2 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
3 med. eggs
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. REAL sour cream
Cherry pie filling or strawberry sauce

Mix wafer crumbs and butter (save 1/4 cup for top). Grease 9 or 10 inch springform pan and pat crumbs. Refrigerate 15 minutes.

For filling, cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, eggs and 3/4 teaspoon vanilla until light and fluffy. Pour into pan and bake in middle of oven 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Let stand 15 minutes.

For topping, beat well 1/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and sour cream (do not use imitation). Refrigerate. Mix again and pour over filling. Add reserved crumbs and bake 10 minutes at 475 degrees. Refrigerate overnight. You can top with cherry pie filling or serve with strawberry sauce.
