3 c. oatmeal
2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. cocoa
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts, optional

In heavy saucepan over medium heat mix butter, sugar, cocoa, milk, and salt. let slowly boil for a while, stirring constantly until forms good soft ball in cup of water.

Remove from heat and add vanilla; stir. Gradually stir in oats and nuts. Immediately drop onto waxed paper by large tablespoonfuls. Let cool and peel off; eats like cookies, tastes like fudge!!
