GLAZED APPLES 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry-banana Jello
1 (3 oz.) pkg. Orange Jello
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water
6 lg. red baking apples
1 lg. stick cinnamon
6 whole cloves

Dissolve Jello gelatin in 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Add 1 cup cold water. Core apples and pare off a 1 inch strip of skin at stem end of each. Place apples; stem end up, in a large skillet. Pour gelatin over apples; add spices. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes, or until tender. Then uncover and place under broiler, about 2 inches from heat, basting frequently for 15 minutes, or until apples are glazed and lightly browned. Serve warm with syrup.
