CARAMEL DATE PUDDING 
1 c. flour
Pinch of salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. rich milk
1 tsp. vanilla

HOT SAUCE:

1 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 heaping tbsp. flour
1 1/4 c. water

Cook hot sauce ingredients until slightly thickened.

Sift together first 3 ingredients, add brown sugar, dates, nuts, milk and vanilla. Spread in greased shallow pan and BEFORE baking, pour over it the hot sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Serve with whipped cream. Use a 13 x 9 inch pan.
