OLD FASHIONED INDIAN RAISIN PUDDING | |
1 qt. milk 1/2 c. cornmeal 1/4 c. granulated sugar 3/4 tsp. salt 1/3 c. molasses 3/4 c. raisins 1/2 tsp. ginger 2 tbsp. butter Scald milk; combine cornmeal, sugar, salt, and molasses and stir into the milk. Add ginger and butter; cook and stir until it begins to thicken. Add raisins; transfer to an oiled baking dish and bake in a slow oven for 3 hours. Cover during the first 2 hours. Serve with plain or whipped cream or ice cream. |
