GREEN TOMATO RELISH 
2 lbs. chopped green tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. mustard seed

Mix vegetables and let stand 1 hour. Squeeze out the liquid. Add sugar, vinegar and remaining seasoning, which have been placed in a bag. Bring to boil and cook 10 minutes. Put in hot jars and seal.
