PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. sirloin or round steak, cut in thin strips
3 lg. onions, sliced
3 green peppers, cut into strips
1 can stewed tomatoes
3 (5 3/4 oz. each) cans mushroom sauce
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 (2 1/2 oz.) jars sliced mushrooms, drained
1/4 c. red wine
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil

Season meat with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Broil meat quickly in hot oil. Add onions and green peppers. Cook until vegetables are soft then add remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes or until meat and vegetables are tender. Serve with rice to soak up the sauce.
