GRANNY'S LEMON SPONGE PIE | |
3 tbsp. butter 1 1/4 c. sugar 4 eggs, separated Dash of salt 1 1/4 c. milk 2 grated lemon peels 1/3 c. lemon juice 1/4 c. flour 1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg yolks, flour, salt, milk, lemon juice and peel. Beat egg whites in separate bowl until stiff. Then, fold whites into milk mixture. Pour in pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes, reduce to 300 degrees for 45 minutes. |
