4 eggs 1 c. unsifted flour 1/4 c. melted butter 1/3 c. sugar 2 c. milk Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Melt butter in 9"x13" pan. While butter is melting beat the eggs thoroughly. Add each of the following ingredients to the eggs separately and blend well: sugar, flour and milk. Rotate pan to coat sides with butter. After coating the pan, add remaining butter to batter and stir slightly. Some butter should remain on the batter's surface. Bake 40 minutes. Krapsua should puff like a souffle and then deflate when removed from the oven. Cut in triangular pieces. Spoon your favorite fruit sauce or syrup atop the pastry and serve immediately. The traditional Finnish flavors are blueberries and cloudberries. |
