YEAST ROLLS
2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 cups milk
1/2 cup warm water
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 Tbsp. salt
5-6 cups sifted flour

Scald milk, add sugar and oil. Cool to lukewarm. Mix yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add to warm milk mixture. Add about 2 cups of flour. Mix well. Add rest of flour with salt until you have a fairly stiff dough. Let rise on warm place covered with cloth (about 1 hour). Push down and place on board with enough flour to knead. Cut or shape into rolls. Let rise again on greased cookie sheet, about 1 hour, and cook at 350-400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Brush tops with butter. Or after shaping into rolls, freeze on greased cookie sheet. After frozen place in freezer bags. Take out as needed. Takes 2 hours to rise after frozen. Makes 24-30 rolls.
