BEEF STEW 
2 lb. beef stew meat
Potatoes, carrots, onions, green beans, peas, or whatever other vegetables your family likes in stew
1/2 c. red wine
1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
1/3 c. flour
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
16 oz. can tomatoes, undrained
1 c. beef broth
1 bay leaf, if desired
Salt and pepper, to taste

Mix all ingredients in either a crock pot or in a baking dish. Crock pot takes a good day; a baking dish (covered) in a 350 degree oven takes about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. If you're really pressed for time, you can also used canned vegetables.
