GINGER BREAD 
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. flour
1 egg
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening

Stir all together and bake in moderate 375 degree oven for 30 minutes. Grease the bottom of an 8x8 pan or 13x9 pan.
