APPLELICIOUS CAKE 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix (with pudding in the mix)
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
15 oz. jar applesauce
1/2 c. loosely packed brown sugar
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
2 tsp. water
1 can apple pie filling

Grease a spring-form pan. In mixer bowl, put cake mix. Add cinnamon and vegetable oil. Mix on low until crumbly. Remove 3/4 cup of mixture. Set aside. Add eggs to mix and applesauce. Mix well with mixture.

Topping: To the 3/4 cup of mix reserved, add brown sugar, chopped nuts and water. Stir by hand.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Add dollops of apple pie filling. Sprinkle crumb topping over batter.

Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes. Let stand and cool before cutting.

For Variety: Try different flavor cake mix and your choice of fruit pie filling.
