OLD FASHIONED EGG CUSTARD 
4 eggs
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Unbaked pie shell

Beat eggs until light and foamy; add sugar and salt. Blend well and add milk and vanilla. Line 9" pie pan with pastry. Brush pastry with melted butter. Pour custard into shell, sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Turn heat down to 325 degrees and bake for 25 minutes longer.
