MOLASSES GINGER COOKIES | |
2 eggs 1 c. sugar 1 c. molasses 1 c. shortening 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. hot water 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. cloves About 7 c. flour (enough to make stiff dough) Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, molasses and hot water. Sift dry ingredients together and blend into shortening mixture. Knead thoroughly; chill. Roll out 1/8-inch thick and cut. Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes. |
