FIG PRESERVE CAKE 
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. cooking oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. fig preserves

ICING:

1 c. sugar
3/4 stick butter
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

For Cake: Mix all together. Bake 1 hour at 300-325 degrees.

For Icing: Boil on low heat and stir until thick. Spread on cake.
