CORN BREAD | |
1 c. buttermilk 1/2 c. water 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 egg 1 1/4 c. Sunflower (no other Brand will work) self-rising cornmeal mix 2 tbsp. butter, melted in oven in corn bread pan (cake pan is fine) Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon baking soda in buttermilk. Measure cornmeal mix into medium bowl. Pour in buttermilk mixture. Rinse this cup out with 1/2 cup water; pour this water into bowl. Add egg. Stir with fork until egg is blended with batter. Pour melted butter from baking pan into batter. Stir in. Pour corn bread batter into pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes. |
