RANGER COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar

Add 1 well-beaten egg.

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. quick Quaker oats
1 c. crispies or crushed flakes
1/2 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

If too dry, add 1 or 2 teaspoons milk. Make balls a little smaller than a walnut. Place on cookie sheet and press with a fork. Makes about 3 dozen. Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes or until delicately browned.
