PORK CHOP CASSEROLE | |
Brown chops and season. Place in casserole. Add water to drippings and pour around chops. Place large pieces of sliced onions on top. Core and cut apples in 3-4 crosswise pieces and lay on top of chops. (A little brown sugar can be used if apples are tart.) DRESSING FOR TOPPING: 2 c. bread pieces 1/4 c. or more chopped onion Celery, cut up 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. sage Put on top of chops and cover with aluminum foil. Bake in slow oven so dressing won't get too brown about 1 1/2 hours. |
