QUICK PICKLED BEETS AND EGGS 
Hard-boil approximately 12 eggs and shell.

Bring to boil:

1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. liquid from 2 lb. can of baby beets
2 tbsp. sugar
2 whole cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf

Pour over eggs and beets and let sit awhile.
