FROKT SOPA 
This is a dessert or an accompaniment for meat, (Fruit Soup).

1/4 c. dried apples
1/4 lb. dried apricots
1/4 lb. dried peaches
1/4 lb. dried pears
1/4 lb. dried prunes
1/2 c. seedless raisins
2 1/2 qt. water
1 cinnamon stick
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. tapioca
Juice of 1/2 a lemon

1. Soak dried fruit in 2 quarts water overnight. In the morning, add cinnamon stick and bring to boiling point. Remove from heat and add sugar.

2. Stir tapioca into remaining 2 cups water. Cook over very low heat until transparent. Add to hot soup mixture with lemon juice.

Soup may be served either hot or cold; either as dessert (very cold and sprinkled with almonds) or hot as an accompaniment to a meat course.
