RHUBARB BARS | |
CRUST: 1 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. oatmeal 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. butter 1/2 c. nuts, optional RHUBARB MIXTURE: 3 c. cut up rhubarb 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. water 1 box (3 oz.) red Jello Combine crust ingredients and mix until crumbly. Put 3/4 of mixture in a 9 x 13 pan. Combine and cook rhubarb mixture until thick. Take off heat. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread rhubarb mixture over bottom crust and top with rest of crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. |
