DROP SNICKER DOODLES 
1 c. soft butter or shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt (if using shortening)
Sugar/cinnamon mixed

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well.

Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt (if using shortening). Combine wet and dry ingredients.

Onto lightly greased cookie sheet, drop about 1/2 tablespoon size of dough. Cross with fork dipped into sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 12 minutes. Makes about 5-6 dozen cookies. Store in tins when cool.
