PERFECT MERINGUE 
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. cold water
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla

Blend cornstarch and cold water. Add boiling water and cook until clear. Let stand until cold. Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar. Turn mixer to low and add salt, vanilla and gradually beat in cornstarch mixture. Turn to high speed and beat until stiff peaks form. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
