JO'S PINEAPPLE WALNUT TURNOVERS 
DOUGH:

1 yeast cake
1 cup lukewarm water or milk
2 cups Crisco shortening
4 eggs
1 tsp. salt
5 cups all-purpose flour

Dissolve yeast in the milk. Mix other ingredients in. Knead until your hands come out clean. Let rise while you make fillings.

PINEAPPLE FILLING:

1 qt. (4 cups) pineapples
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Cook until slightly thick - until holds together.

WALNUT FILLING:

1 cup shelled walnuts

Grind English walnuts; moisten with a little milk and sugar.

Roll dough out; cut into squares.

Place 1 teaspoon of filling onto each square. Fold in 2 ends and moisten with milk. Bake at 350°F until golden.
