BLACK WALNUT ICEBOX COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. melted butter
2 unbeaten eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped black walnuts

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients and nuts. Mixture must be stiff. Shape in 2 rolls and let set in refrigerator overnight. Slice very thin with a sharp knife and bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
