OLD FASHIONED JUMBLES 
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Salad oil
Granulated sugar

Sift flour with salt, cinnamon. Set aside. At medium speed beat butter, 1 cup sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy and smooth. Gradually add flour mixture, stirring until well blended. Refrigerate 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Roll dough into balls 1 1/4 inch in diameter. Place 2 inches apart on sheets. Flatten with bottom of glass brushed with salad oil, then dipped in sugar. Re-dip bottom of glass in sugar often. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown. Remove to wire rack. Cool. Makes 5 dozen.
