HOMEMADE FUDGE BROWNIE 
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In bowl, combine dry ingredients. Cut in Crisco until mixture looks like coarse cornmeal. Beat 2 eggs with 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add dry ingredients and stir until nearly smooth.

Stir in 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Spread in greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Cool. Sift confectioner's sugar over top. Cut. Makes 16 brownies.
