1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 to 1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix thoroughly first 3 ingredients. Stir in next 2, then next 4. Chill dough for at least 1 hour. Drop rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until delicately brown. Cook 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Spread with Jiffy white frosting and sprinkle with color sprinkles.
