PASSOVER NO - BAKE SEVEN LAYER CAKE | |
3 1/2 oz. bittersweet chocolate 1/4 lb. sweet butter 1 c. fine sugar (put granulated sugar in blender at high speed) 3 eggs, separated 7 sq. egg matzoh Sweet Passover Red Wine Melt chocolate in double boiler. In large bowl, cream butter with sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well between additions. In clean bowl, beat egg whites stiff. Mix chocolate in egg and shortening mixture. Fold in egg whites. Dip each piece of matzoh in wine. Place 1 piece of matzoh on serving dish; cover with some chocolate filling and continue to layer - Matzoh, chocolate, etc. Cover top and sides with chocolate. Decorate top with sugar or nuts. Refrigerate 24 hours. |
