Wow!!! These turkey necks were awesome. I had never cooked my turkey necks like these before, neither have I cooked them separated from collard greens, but decided to give it a try. Awesome recipe, and I am looking to cook them like this in the near future. What I did was cook the turkey necks the night prior to consuming, so that the seasoning can set in meat overnight. Once again, this was great and I did not make any changes to recipe, except for pouring a little bit of leftover seasoning I had from a few packages of ramen noodles and add to it (did not want to waste it). Other than that I enjoyed the overall flavor!!!

I've seen "Paul Prudhomme's" gumbo seasonings in the spice isle at Walmart.

Hey thanks for trying my recipe Sabray, so glad you enjoyed it... Tony, you can find the seasoning at your local grocery store, I'm not sure of the stores in Australia. However, an alternate could be any poultry seasoning, and add some Sea Salt and Paprika in addition to the other seasonings I have listed. Thanks again!!!

Thanks for the recipe. It was fairly simple but quite tasty. I added smoked paprika and salt to the original recipe. My husband really enjoyed it.

I've been making delicious turkey soup from necks for years. First I roast the necks with onion garlic celery rosemary thyme sage and fennel seeds till browned IN the soup pot. Then I add salt water and bay leaves and simmer on top of stove for about 2 1/2 hours or until meat falls off the bone. Strain broth into another pot and add diced potatoes and carrots and noodles or pasta of your choice( orzo is nice) Remove meat from necks and add to soup. Deeeelizeeoso
