PEAR AND CHEESE PIE 
1 unbaked pie shell
5 (or more) fresh Bartlett pears (real ripe)
1/3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. salt

Pare - core and slice pears. Mix sugar, flour, ginger and salt together. Mix with pears and turn into pastry shell. Sprinkle on CHEESE CRUMBLE TOPPING:

1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
3 tbsp. melted butter

Mix together with fork and put on pear filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
