Cook 3 (6 ounce) packages dried apricots until tender in very little water. When done, drain well.
Make rich pie crust dough (equal to 3 pie crusts). Refrigerate for a while for easier handling.
Meantime, add approximately 1 1/2 cups sugar to the apricots and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Roll out crust, and cut in squares and place one at a time in baking pan. On each crust, place apricots, some sugar and butter. Then fold crust over. Fill pan with squares.
When ready to bake at 350 degrees, dot with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake until golden.
