CHOW CHOW 
1 head cauliflower
1 lg. bunch celery
1 qt. sm. onions
1 qt. sm. cucumbers
1 lb. lima beans, fresh or dried
5 or 6 lg. carrots, sliced
1 each red, yellow & green pepper

PICKLING MIXTURE:

1 qt. water
1 qt. sugar
1 qt. vinegar
2 tbsp. salt
Tumeric for coloring

Cook vegetables separately in salted water until nearly done (not too soft!). Make pickling mixture by boiling ingredients together. Add drained vegetables to pickling mixture. Put into hot jars and seal.
