SWEET-SOUR PORK OR CHICKEN | |
3 lbs. pork country ribs or 1 chicken, cut in pieces Cooked rice SAUCE: 1/3 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 2 tsp. dry mustard 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1/4 c. finely chopped onion 2/3 c. vinegar 1 c. crushed pineapple with juice 1/2 c. catsup 1/2 c. water Mix sauce ingredients. Cook over medium heat until thick and glossy. Brown meat or microwave 10 minutes on high. Pour off liquid. Arrange meat pieces in 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Pour half of sauce over meat. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Add remainder of sauce and bake 15 minutes more. Serve with hot rice. |
