NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER | |
2 sm. cans clams (save juice) 4 lg. potatoes, peeled and diced 1 med. onion, diced 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. butter 4 c. milk or cream 6-10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled Cook onions in butter. Add cubed potatoes, clam juice, and water enough to cover. Cook until potatoes are tender. Add milk/cream, butter, and salt and pepper. Heat, then add clams and bacon pieces. Cook 3 minutes more. Serves 4-6. |
