ELEGANT CHOCOLATE FROSTING 
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk or heavy cream
5 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar and milk in deep 1 1/2 quart glass bowl. Cook by microwave 4 1/2 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat. Add chocolate; stir to blend. Add butter and vanilla. Chill until mixture begins to thicken. Beat until creamy and shiny. Makes enough to fill and frost an 8 inch layer cake.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
